Contexte
ALSTOM has entrusted OPERANTIS with the production of a railway line editing module integrated into the SELENA simulation platform, a railway simulation platform developed by the OPERANTIS business unit for ALSTOM.
Objectifs
This module, entirely in real time 3D allows the user in charge of the realization of railway lines to create a line directly in 3D by means of drawing tools and property entries.
Solutions
The strength of this line editing function is to allow the user to view the result directly in the editor. Indeed, the tool is entirely real time which means that the 3D line is created as the user actions (WYSIWYG operation).
This provides an easy-to-use tool for the creation of complex railway infrastructures, whether they are reproductions of real lines or the creation of pedagogical lines designed to reproduce case studies for driver training.
